Hypnotherapy is a science-based, therapeutic modality that works by promoting positive cognitive and behavioral change, guiding the client into a deeply relaxed state becoming more receptive to targeted, positive suggestions. During hypnosis, the Hypnotherapist bypasses blocks, helping you achieve what was unachievable. Hypnotherapy strengthens and empowers the client's motivation, focus and commitment.

Think of hypnosis like optimizing the software that runs your mind.

High performers usually have excellent ‘hardware’ — intelligence, discipline, experience.

But sometimes the brain is still running old programs:

• stress responses
• perfectionism loops
• overthinking patterns
• old emotional conditioning

Hypnosis allows us to access the part of the brain where those programs are stored and update them efficiently, helping the brain install better responses.

“Most of the professionals I work with aren’t struggling in life — they’re already performing at a very high level.
What we’re doing is helping the brain release hidden stress patterns so their focus, clarity, and emotional regulation can operate the way their intelligence already knows how to.”

The real question isn’t “Will this work?”
It’s “Is your nervous system capable of learning a different pattern?”

And unless there is severe neurological impairment — the answer is yes.

Your brain changes every single day. That’s not motivational language — that’s neuroplasticity, demonstrated in research from institutions like Harvard Medical School and Stanford University School of Medicine. The brain rewires through repetition, emotional salience, and focused attention.

Hypnosis uses all three. When nothing has worked, it usually means one of two things:

  1. The approach was cognitive, but the pattern is autonomic.
(You understood it — but your body didn’t change.)
  2. The approach was behavioral, but the root was subconscious.
(You changed actions — but not the internal driver.)

The reason hypnosis works well for high performers is because it uses the same abilities that make you successful — focus, pattern recognition, and mental rehearsal.

The difference is, instead of using those skills externally for performance, we use them internally to update the patterns that are running automatically.

Clinical hypnotherapy works at the level where patterns are actually encoded: below conscious effort, inside procedural and emotional memory networks.

That’s why it often works after willpower, insight, talk therapy, and self-help fail.

I believe clients choose my practice because I graduated from "The Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy" (IIH), with over 600 hours of clinical practice training which is a strong, credible credential. IIH is a prestigious Florida Department of Education licensed school (License #3448) offering thorough training, diploma programs in Hypnotherapy, with a focus on clinical and Interpersonal approaches. This exceeds many levels of requirements, For example: (The National Guild of Hypnotherapist's baseline is 100-200 hours).

I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and HIPAA Compliant abiding by the same privacy, security and ethical standards as medical practitioners. (HIPAA is a federal law regulating the US healthcare system.) I offer a private, discreet and uniquely integrative approach that combines neuroscience, evidence‑based clinical hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral psychology, and mind‑body nervous system regulation. This allows us to address the deeper patterns driving your symptoms rather than providing temporary relief.

My work is grounded in creating a therapeutic environment where you feel deeply safe, attuned to, and understood. That sense of safety is essential for meaningful subconscious change, and it shapes every step of the process. Sessions are structured, individualized, and paced to support clarity, and emotional regulation.

Located within the Carter Psychology Center—adjacent to the renowned Lotus wellness spa/skin care—my office offers a calm, restorative setting designed to support focused inner work.

“That’s a fair question.

What I’ve learned over years of working with people is that while everyone’s story is unique, the patterns of the human nervous system are remarkably predictable.

Your mind runs on patterns automatically. Thoughts, reactions and habits you've repeated so many times they happen without thinking. Pressure, responsibility, habits, trauma, chronic stress — they leave recognizable imprints in how the mind responds.

Think of your mind like a computer running programs in the background. Some of those programs are outdated like anxiety, stress, self-doubt and overthinking. It's like your brain has tabs open and one of them is stuck in a loop, constantly refreshing the same thought or reaction. Your subconscious is executing code based on past conditioning. What I do is equivalent to a system override. It's like updating your computer from windows 8 to windows 11.

What matters is that I understand how the mind and nervous system hold onto experiences and try to protect us.

My role isn't to analyze or judge you. It's to help your mind feel safe enough to release patterns that no longer serve you and have you leave the session feeling better and confident that we resolved your issue.”

Absolutely, and it's important to understand what "predictable" actually means in this context.

What I do is not guesswork or generic hypnosis. It's a structured, clinical process designed to identify the exact subconscious pattern driving the issue and update it at the level where real change happens. That's where predictability comes from.

You'll be aware, you will hear everything, and you will not say anything you don't want to say and you cannot be made to do anything that goes against you, and you'll remain in control the entire time. In fact, most clients are high-performing, analytical individuals and they tend to respond exceptionally well because they already have strong focus and self-awareness. They describe it as a state of deep focus or absorption...not unconsciousness.

As for the time, this is not about endless sessions like talk therapy, It's about precision.

Once the right pattern is identified, change often happens much faster than people expect because we're no longer working at the surface level. My role is not to "make something happen to you", It's to guide your mind into a state where change becomes natural, automatic, and sustainable.

So, a better way to think about this is: If we identify the correct pattern, and you're willing to engage in the process, then meaningful change is not only possible...It's highly likely.

If you're looking for a quick fix or something to "try", this may not be the right fit. But, if you're ready to resolve the root of the issue efficiently and intelligently, you'll find this process both focused and effective.

Most clients notice a shift within the first session. Not because of "quick fixes," but because once the correct pattern is identified, change doesn't need to be gradual, it becomes immediate and then continues integrating over the following days, weeks and months. Speed is a byproduct of precision.

“Hypnosis is actually one of the most efficient ways to work with the brain because it engages the same mechanisms responsible for learning, habit formation, and emotional regulation.

High-performing individuals often respond very well to hypnosis because their minds are already trained for focus, visualization, and goal-directed thinking.

Instead of trying to talk your way through change consciously, hypnosis allows us to work directly with the automatic patterns in the nervous system and subconscious mind that drive performance, stress response, and habits.

Many clients notice meaningful shifts in just a few sessions because we're working with the brain's neuroplasticity rather than relying only on willpower.”

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recognizes the healing power of Hypnosis and its proven effectiveness. In fact, hypnosis has been used in medicine, sports psychology, and high-performance coaching for decades because it helps the brain enter a state where learning and pattern change happen much faster.

For high-functioning professionals, the goal isn't fixing something that's broken — it's optimizing how the nervous system responds under pressure.”

It's less dramatic than most people expect. It often feels like a calm, focused state where your attention is directed inward. Some clients feel deeply relaxed, others feel simply clear and aware. There's no "right" way to experience it. The process works regardless.

Traditional therapy often works at the level of awareness and analysis. This work goes deeper.

Instead of managing thoughts or discussing patterns, we identify and update the subconscious programming that's creating them. That's why many clients come here after trying other approaches, because they've already developed awareness, but the pattern itself hasn't changed.

“Most clients find the investment worthwhile because we’re not just talking about problems — we’re helping the brain resolve the underlying patterns that drive them. When those shift, the changes often show up across many areas of life.”

The real investment here isn’t just in sessions, it’s in your peace of mind, and the life you want to live. Imagine what it would feel like to finally be free from the patterns that have been holding you back. Many of my clients tell me the moment they experience that shift, they realize the true value isn’t just about money, it’s about reclaiming themselves. My job is to make sure every session moves you toward that transformation, quickly.

That's actually very common. High-performing clients usually come in after they've tried to solve the issue through logic, discipline, or other methods. The reason those approaches didn't fully stick is because they were working at the conscious level, while the pattern itself is subconscious.

This process addresses what other methods typically don't reach.

“That’s actually a very thoughtful question."

In this work we don’t force memories or push people into anything uncomfortable. The brain only processes material that it feels ready to resolve. Most of the time we’re not reliving painful memories — we’re helping the nervous system update how it responds to them.

When we work with the mind in hypnosis or focused attention, the brain is actually in a very regulated learning state — similar to the state it uses during memory reconsolidation. That means memories can update and lose their emotional charge without needing to relive the original experience. My role is to guide the brain through that process safely so the nervous system resolves the response rather than intensifying it.”

“The goal is never to re-experience pain." The goal is to help the nervous system realize that the event is over.

When the nervous system updates that information, the emotional reaction naturally releases.

We go slowly and only work with what your system is comfortable processing.

Most clients are surprised by how calm and controlled the experience actually is.

“That's a great question. Most of the people I work with are very busy people and results-oriented, so they don't want to invest time or energy unless there's a clear path forward.

What matters more than time is whether we're working with the right mechanism in the brain.

My job is to identify the mechanism driving the pattern and work directly with that.”

That's why the first session is designed to identify exactly what's driving the issue and determine whether this approach is likely to work for you.”

“The brain doesn't change through time, It changes through learning.” The brain changes through neuroplasticity — which means once the brain learns a new pattern, the shift can happen relatively quickly.

In my experience, many clients begin noticing changes within the first few sessions. The exact timing depends on factors like how long the pattern has been present and how the nervous system has learned to respond.”

Most feel subtle shifts quickly, a little more calm in their day, a little less inner tension. As we go deeper, these changes expand and become more natural, like ripples turning into waves. The exact timeline depends on your unique journey, as the brain reorganizes the pattern.

But what I can tell you is that the approach I use is designed to work with the brain's learning system directly, which is why many people see change faster than they expected.”

Is it a good fit for everyone? NO, and that is intentional. This work is best suited for individuals who are: committed to change, self-aware, ready to address the root of the issue. If you're looking for something passive or surface-level, this may not be the right fit.

“People come to hypnosis for a wide range of things, but most of it falls into a few categories.”

Performance & Mental Clarity

  • overthinking
  • burnout
  • decision fatigue
  • focus

Emotional Regulation

  • anxiety
  • stress
  • chronic worry
  • emotional triggers

Behavior & Habit Change

  • sleep issues
  • weight and eating patterns
  • procrastination
  • addictions or unwanted habits

Deep Root Patterns

  • childhood conditioning
  • trauma responses
  • imposter syndrome
  • self-sabotage

“Hypnosis helps the brain update those patterns so you respond differently automatically.

”According to many sources including the National Center for Biotechnology information (NCBI) which is part of the United States National Library of Medicine and a branch of the National Institute of Health (NIH), hypnosis is scientifically proven to help relieve both mental challenges and physical pains. Hypnosis is non-evasive and controls pain or discomfort that might otherwise seem out of your hands. The University of Maryland Medical Center states that Hypnosis is useful for: Weight loss, stress, smoking cessation, Phobias, PTSD, addictions, eating disorders, Labor and Delivery, irritable bowel syndrome, tension headaches, asthma, insomnia, fibromyalgia, cancer-related pain, indigestion, skin disorders, such as acne, psoriasis and eczema (atopic dermatitis) and more.

YES, Hypnosis is very safe and effective when practiced by a Trained and Certified Professional. Hypnosis is a powerful tool to help clients overcome challenging issues. Hypnosis is recognized by many prestigious medical organizations, hospitals, clinics, and psychology practices worldwide as a complementary treatment for a variety of conditions.

According to Dr. Clifford N. Lazarus, speaking for Psychology Today, Hypnosis is a "genuine psychological phenomenon" that has valid uses in clinical practices. Hypnotherapy is supported by research in Psychology, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and medicine. It has shown effectiveness in areas such as anxiety, stress management, habit change, pain management, IBS, and trauma recovery, to name a few. Reputable institutions like Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Stanford Medical Centers and many more use and endorse it.

Almost everyone can be hypnotized, provided they are able and willing to follow guidance. It's a natural state we all enter like daydreaming or becoming absorbed in a movie. A report established by Stanford University titled "The Stanford Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale" demonstrated that different brains respond to hypnosis in varying degrees, and a very few do not respond at all. A Certified Hypnotherapist can determine whether you are a good candidate for the healing benefits of Hypnotherapy.

“Actually, it’s the opposite. People who are highly focused, analytical, and mentally disciplined tend to respond very well to hypnosis. Hypnosis isn’t about being weak-minded — it’s about the ability to concentrate deeply and direct your attention. That’s a skill most high performers already have.”

Clients who benefit the most are executives, athletes, surgeons, and entrepreneurs because they’re already good at entering focused mental states and intelligent clients often make the best subjects." .

Hypnosis uses a natural brain state called focused attention. We move from the analytical thinking of the prefrontal cortex into deeper learning networks where the brain rewires patterns more efficiently.

You remain fully aware and in control the entire time. Hypnosis isn’t mind control — it’s more like guided mental training where we help the brain change patterns more efficiently.

NO, Hypnosis is not mind control, it is a natural, yet altered, state of mind where communication and responsiveness with the subconscious mind is established. When you are hypnotized you are fully conscious, fully in control at all times, you will never say something you would not want to say, you will never do something that you would not want to do, and you will remember the whole session when it is complete.

NO, You are always in control. If a suggestion violates your personal values, your subconscious mind will reject it. Hypnotherapy works in alignment with your morals and ethics.

Some people experience rapid change in one session, but most benefit from a series tailored to their goals. After your first hypnotherapy experience, you might notice subtle shifts—like a clearer focus on your personal goals or a new sense of ease in stressful situations. It's not uncommon for this experience to lead to deeper self-awareness over time, guiding you towards addressing profound issues, not just the surface stress. Sometimes, these sessions continue to peel layers back, unearthing insights that might not have been immediately visible but are crucial for lasting change. Hypnotherapy has the power to unravel long-standing patterns of behavior, leading to lasting well-being.

NO, Hypnosis doesn't override your moral code or personal boundaries. You won't reveal anything you wouldn't normally share in a waking state.

NO, It's impossible to get stuck in hypnosis. You can come out of the hypnotic state anytime you chose.

NO, hypnosis cannot erase memories, but it can help change the emotional charge around memories. Some therapeutic techniques in hypnosis are used to reframe or neutralize past experiences (trauma) in a healing way.

NO, while some spiritual or intuitive practitioners may combine hypnosis with other modalities, Clinical Hypnotherapy itself is a structured psychological process, Not magic or psychic work.

NO, while hypnosis can feel deeply relaxing, It's not sleep. You are mentally alert and aware, though more focused and open to positive suggestions. Brain studies show that hypnotized individuals have increased activity in specific areas of attention and imagination..

Hypnosis is not tied to any religion. It's a neutral therapeutic tool. That said, it can be use in Spiritual and Transpersonal ways such as: Past Life Regression or connecting with the Higher-Self, if the client desires.

YES, children are often more responsive because of their vivid imagination. Hypnotherapy can help with Focus, fears, habits, anxiety, and sleep issues when adapted to their development level.

That depends on the depth of the pattern, not the label of the issue. It can vary by individuals and goals. Many patterns can be shifted quickly once identified. More complex or identity-level patterns may require a deeper process.

That's why I offer this as a private program rather than single sessions, so we can resolve the issue completely, not partially. We'll discuss a plan tailored to your needs during your consultation.

Stage hypnosis is very different from Clinical Hypnotherapy. Entertainment uses hypnosis for fun and drama, but therapeutic hypnosis is used in a safe, private setting, by a certified professional, to promote healing, behavior change, and emotional well-being.

YES, you'll feel Relaxed, Rested and Refreshed, often more focused than before, and you will Remember the entire session. Many clients report a sense of mental clarity and calm after sessions.
