THE MINDSPIRE METHOD™
Many strategies can make someone feel better temporarily.
Distraction.
Avoidance.
Reassurance.
Breathing.
Working harder.
Checking.
Scrolling.
Alcohol.
Control.
Even relaxation techniques.
Some are useful. Some aren't.
But there's another question:
Why does the system keep generating the response in the first place?
That's the question behind the MindSpire Method™.
TRIGGER → INTERPRETATION → STATE → BEHAVIOR → RELIEF → REINFORCEMENT
THE MINDSPIRE METHOD™
1. RECOGNIZE™
Understand what's actually happening.
Before trying to change the response, we map it.
What activates you?
What does your mind believe is about to happen?
Where do you feel it?
What do you do next?
What is that response attempting to accomplish?
A pattern becomes easier to change when it stops being mysterious.
2. REGULATE™
Develop greater control over state.
There are moments when you need energy.
And moments when you need recovery.
Regulation isn't about making every uncomfortable feeling disappear.
It is about increasing your ability to move between states without becoming trapped inside one.
3. REPATTERN™
Work with what maintains the old response.
This is where my background in hypnotherapy becomes especially useful.
Depending upon the individual, we may work with learned associations, internal imagery, conditioned responses, protective Parts, expectations, rehearsed mental sequences and deeply practiced internal rules.
The objective is not to argue with your mind.
It is to give it a different experience from which to learn.
4. REHEARSE™
Train the response where it actually matters.
You don't need to perform beautifully inside my office.
You need access to the new response when life happens.
So we rehearse it.
The boardroom.
The bedroom.
The locker room.
The airplane.
The difficult conversation.
The quiet house at 11:30 at night.
The situation becomes familiar...
before it becomes real.
